me: (roughly in this order) degree in German; actress
in Germany, Switzerland, UK: mainly small scale touring, tie (many years spent in the back of a van);
two children; translator; youth theatre director; director/facilitator of community projects, including work with nspcc, Barnardo’s, mental health service users,ex-offenders; began writing seriously in 2002 when I attended the Writers Group at the Nuffield Theatre Southampton, run by John Burgess; Royal Literary Fund Fellow; playwright, poet, printmaker. I love theatre in unexpected places and make shows with a great and generous group of people going by the name of the Fuse. I have mentored young playwrights on the National Theatre's NewViews scheme for seven years, and last year worked with Graeae on their Write To Play project.
On the following pages you can read about my plays, poetry and residency stuff is to follow.
